Miami is the perfect destination for a weekend trip from the North East! I put together a full itinerary of ALL of the best spots for you to hit – from the best restaurants, most IG worthy spots and hidden gems!
Friday
MORNING: Go to Little Hen for breakfast/ brunch. One of the most IG-worthy restaurants in Miami, there are flowers everywhere and it features a dreamy English inspired design with floral teapots and rose petal pancakes.
AFTERNOON: Have a beach day at South Pointe Beach – It was the nicest beach I went to in Miami and it was actually recommended by locals. Relax on the beach and walk along the trail.
EVENING: Mayami Mexican for dinner/ drinks at night – The perfect spot, if you want to have fun but not go clubbing, with delicious, strong drinks. They even have drinks with whole scorpions, ants, and worms inside, and yes I tried the one with scorpions!
Saturday
MORNING: Explore Wynwood Art District and Miami Design District and get your IG worthy Photo!
Wynwood Art District- Designed to show more appreciation for graffiti/street art as well as the history behind it. Wynwood’s art district has plenty of wall art to explore and take photos of.
Miami Design District – A creative neighborhood where you can find tons of artwork, lots of shopping, and stunning dining destinations. Exploring this district you can find many IG worthy spots like the one below!
AFTERNOON: Go to Nikki Beach – This luxury beach club offers fabulous views and is the perfect spot to relax whether it’s on a daybed/cabana or soaking up the sun you can enjoy great cocktails or grab lunch there.
EVENING: Have fun at Little Havana at night – We went to one of the best restaurants in Little Havana, Cade La Trova. They serve authentic Cuban cuisine and there is live music almost every night. After that, we went bar hopping down “Calle Ocho” and when to different bars/ cigar lounges with live music.
Sunday
MORNING: Vizcaya Museum and Garden – This European-style estate offers not only a beautiful garden getaway but is rich in history. The estate and the city of Miami have been connected ever since its opening in 1910. Enjoy this IG-worthy photo spot and history all in one!
AFTERNOON/EVENING: Gianni’s Versace mansion for lunch or dinner – I would definitely recommend trying to get a lunch reservation if you can. They have a lunch special for an appetizer, lunch, and dessert for $29.99.
