Best Restaurant in NJ in 2022

BEST RESTAURANT in NJ 2022!

I asked my Instagram and TikTok fam what they thought the best restaurant in New Jersey is and you guys came through with over 2000 responses! ⁣

I took the top 32 responses and put them in a March Madness Bracket so we can find what truly is the best restaurant in NJ! You guys voted each week throughout the month and 31 restaurants were eliminated.

1. South and Pine – Winner (my favorite)

We are located in Morristown. We started with the chicken lollipops with a honey glaze. This was some of the best chicken I have ever had. Next, we tried the crispy rice balls and spicy lamb meatballs. Then we ordered the fan favorite, the Brussel sprouts salad, which had blue cheese, bacon, and more. It wowed me, which is hard for me to say about a salad. We got the chicken and waffles and the salmon with  Korean sauce and fried rice for entrees. For Dessert, the chocolate cake with caramel sauce was my absolute favorite.

2. The Butcher’s Block – runner up

Reservations for this spot are super tricky, but you need to go if you can get one. They start by talking about all the meats and walking you thru each one. If it’s your first time there, they give you a tour of the restaurant and the history of how it was just a butcher shop. We start with some drinks and the orangechini. We also ordered the caramelized pasta dish with parsnip puree, kale, and brown butter. That flavor combo was out of this world. Next, we ordered the ribeye, and it was super tender and one of the best steaks I have ever had. This was one of my favorite dining experiences.

3. Porta Asbury park

This is a New Jersey staple with several locations throughout NJ. They serve pizza, pasta, meatballs and great drinks. We started with their meatballs which came in a thick and tasty sauce. Next we got a pizza. We had the carbonara pizza which had an egg on top. For dessert we got  the spiced tart which had custard and a sweet pecan crust.

4. Cellar 335 Jersey City

They serve Asian inspired dishes and craft cocktails. Everything sounded so good on the menu we had to order several items. We order the drunken chicken noodle, Chicken Bao Buns, the maple chipotle Korean style wings which had great flavor and an awesome crunch. We also got the shrimp in white wine sauce which was my absolute favorite. Last we ordered the Korean BBQ ribeye was full of flavor and super tender. For dessert we had espresso mouse which you know espresso is my go to. Will be back for sure!
